Galaxy Nexus features Google’s latest platform Ice Cream Sandwich, a 4.65” HD Super AMOLED display with 1280 * 720 high definition, ergonomic curved glass design with 8.94mm thinness. The Samsung’s second Google Android reference phone also provides a combined platform for smartphone & tablet pc, enhanced multi-tasking & web-surfing speeds with user-friendly user interface, plus new features like ‘Android Beam’ and ‘Face Unlock’. At the launch event, many IT experts and celebrities participated, attracting great attention from the industry, including Shin Jong-kyun, president of Samsung’s mobile business and Andy Robin, vice-president for engineering at Google who is also nicknamed ‘Father of Android’. Mr. Shin mentioned Samsung is delighted to introduce the combination of best hardware and best software to the world, and will continue to strengthen its leadership in the Android market with Galaxy Nexus. Mr. Andy Robin also said at the event that Galaxy Nexus will maximize the innovative power of Google’s latest android platform Ice Cream Sandwich.
